Elon Law’s Media and International Law Moot Court Team, comprised of Ben Kempton L’14 and Craig Martin L’15, advanced to the quarterfinals in the Americas Round of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, held at Cardozo Law School in New York, N.Y. The Elon team’s performance in the Americas Round qualified them for the final International Round of the Price Moot, to be held in April at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.

Leaders in law and legal education shared insights about one of the nation’s most significant civil rights attorneys at Elon Law’s 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. forum.

Leslie P. Lasher L'09, Andrew Nettleman L'09, Stephen Shaw L'10 and Ryan H. Stewart L'09 have been selected as 2014 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers rating service, a recognition earned by no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys 40 or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

Elon Law's 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. Forum will take place at 6 p.m., on June 21 at the law school. It will commemorate the legal career and legacy of civil rights attorney Julius Chambers.

Elon University has named Luke Bierman, a highly accomplished attorney, legal scholar and teacher, and national leader in experiential legal education, to be the next dean of Elon University School of Law.
