The student body at Elon Law recently elected a new slate of Student Bar Association (SBA) leaders for the 2012-13 academic year. Gwendolyn Lewis will serve as President.

Thirty-three teams of law students representing 21 law schools participated in the second annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition at Elon University School of Law on March 30 and 31. North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Martin Newby delivered the keynote address at the competition banquet.

The Honorable Sandra Day O'Connor and former presidential adviser David Gergen spoke at the Conference on Law and Leadership.

United States Representative Brad Miller (NC) will speak at Elon Law on Monday, April 23, at noon in Room 105.

Mitch Baroody, a member of the Class of 2014 at Elon Law, participated in a March 19 Washington, DC event to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the Lebanese Cedar Revolution. The event featured U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman and Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly.
