At a September 19 luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina, hosted by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, law school dean George R. Johnson, Jr. presented Guilford County Public Defender Frederick G. Lind with Elon Law’s 2012 Leadership in the Law Award.

Nine members of the Class of 2015 have been selected as Leadership Fellows at Elon University School of Law. Three members of the Class of 2014 have joined the Fellows program as well, bringing the total number of student and alumni Leadership Fellows to 37.

Elon Law's winter-term Public Law and Leadership course partnered second-year students with four nonprofit organizations to help solve real legal issues while providing students with hands on experience.

Students at Elon Law helped residents of Greensboro obtain nearly $3,000 in health and personal care items.

The January 2012 Lawyering, Leadership and Professionalism course at Elon Law encouraged first-year students to explore practical and theoretical aspects of leadership and professionalism.

On Oct. 8, Elon Law's Leadership Fellows hosted a forum for more than 30 undergraduate Leadership Fellows from Elon University to discuss social justice issues. The theme of the forum was,"Think Globally, Act Locally."

On Oct. 14, law school dean George R. Johnson, Jr. announced that Greensboro attorneys Mike Marshall and Karen McKeithen Schaede are the recipients of Elon University School of Law's 2011 Leadership in the Law Award. The award recognizes lawyers who make outstanding contributions to the profession and to society.

Leadership Fellows at Elon Law invite members of the Elon Law community to the first Leadership Roundtable of the semester. The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 12:15 until 12:45 p.m. in room 204.

Seven members of the Class of 2014 have been selected as Leadership Fellows at Elon University School of Law. They are: Landra Cunningham, Tyrone A. Davis II, Caroline Johnson, Benjamin A. Kempton, David Lambert, Brenna Ragghianti, and Andrew Davidson Realon.

Three former chief justices of the North Carolina Supreme Court spoke with first-year Elon Law students on January 14 about their careers, the qualities they value in lawyers, judicial power, and trends in North Carolina law, as part of the law school's winter-term course, Lawyering, Leadership, and Professionalism.
