Elon’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the honorary organization for financial information students and professionals, was awarded “Gold chapter” status during the national organization’s annual conference this month in Denver. Elon was one of seven chapters to achieve the honor, which is the highest award level a chapter can receive.

The best and brightest of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business were honored April 14, 2011, in an afternoon awards ceremony that highlighted the achievements of both students and faculty.

Samuel L. Burke '89, a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers' national independence office, received the Beta Alpha Psi Business Information Professional of the Year Award this month at the annual Beta Alpha Psi meetings in Denver.

John G. Currin Jr., president and chief executive officer of Alamance Regional Medical Center and ARMC Healthcare since 2005, was honored at a June 22 campus luncheon with the Frank S. Holt, Jr. Business Leadership Award, Elon University’s highest honor for business leadership.

Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was a featured webcast speaker July 22 at the Higher School of Economics Business Incubator "StartUpNetwork" workshop in Moscow, Russia.

Susan Manring, associate professor of management, and Christina Benson, assistant professor of business law and ethics, were among a diverse group of experts and educators who made presentations during the annual AACSB International Sustainability Conference June 15-17 in Charlotte, N.C.

Issues in Political Economy, the undergraduate research journal published jointly by the economics departments at Elon University and the University of Mary Washington, recently published its 20th anniversary volume.
