Mary Gowan, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was appointed to the board of the Institute for Sustainable Development.

Beta Alpha Psi is sponsoring a Graduate School Forum on September 28th at 7:30 pm, LaRose Digital Theatre. The Grad School Forum will showcase several Masters of Accounting (MAcc) and MBA programs, and is open to all LSB students.

Michael Rodriguez, assistant professor of sales and marketing in the Love School of Business, recently published an article, "The Role of Social CRM & Its Impact on Lead Generation in B2B Sales," in Carolina Business Connection.

The Elon MBA program welcomed 36 new students in September. This is the largest cohort in the program's history.

Maurice Jennings ‘57, founder of Biscuitville restaurant and Burney Jennings ‘87, Biscuitville president, will be featured as the Love School of Business Legends of Business speakers on Wednesday, September 15, 4:30 pm. in the LaRose Digital Theatre. The event is open to all Elon students, faculty, and staff. A reception will follow.

Elon’s Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi hosted its annual Meet and Greet for finance and accounting students in McKinnon Hall on September 13. More than 100 students met with representatives from 24 firms, including IBM Corp, Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young, LabCorp, and KPMG.

Tina Das, professor of economics, and Casey Dirienzo, associate professor of economics and Associate Dean of the Love School of Business, have published a paper titled “Tourism Competitiveness and Corruption: A Cross Country Analysis” in Tourism Economics, 16(3): 477-492.

C. Catherine Chiang, assistant professor of accounting in the Love School of Business, recently published an article, “Measuring the Usefulness of Information for Investors’ Inference – the Case of Quarterly Earnings Announcements,” in the July 2010 issue of Journal of Business and Economic Research.

Anthony Amoruso, assistant accounting professor, and Neeraj Gupta, assistant finance professor in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, compiled a list of the top 75 public companies in North Carolina by market capitalization for a feature article in the August 2010 edition of Business North Carolina.
