Elon’s newest students will arrive for Move-In Day on Friday, Aug. 20. Here’s what they have to look forward to, along with resources to help ensure a smooth transition into life and learning at Elon.

Eighteen members of the Class of 2025 spent close to a week at Elon during July participating in service work in the community and learning more about Elon as they prepare to begin their time at the university.

More than 60 new students began their Elon journeys on Sunday, as New Student Programs welcomed them to campus during Spring New Student Convocation and New Student Orientation.

The annual program for first-year students was adapted this year so that the Class of 2024 could participate in small groups to learn about the four virtues central to the Elon Honor Code.

More than 1,600 members of the Class of 2024 and other new students are arriving on campus on Friday, Aug. 14, and Saturday, Aug. 15, for Move-In and New Student Orientation, with the Elon community coming together to assist with a smooth transition.

A new process for moving in this year means changes to traffic flow and parking lot usage as the 2020-21 academic year gets underway.

The Office of Parent Engagement and New Student Programs will host special in-person Parent and Family Orientation Sessions to give new families an opportunity to hear from President Connie Ledoux Book and a panel of senior administrators.
