The Elon BrainCARE Research Institute will host its fifth annual symposium on Thursday, April 5. 

1 to 5 p.m. in the Gerald L. Francis Center

Eleven faculty members, one recently retired faculty member, multiple adjunct faculty members  20 students were among the more than 17,000 attendees at the conference.

The High Point, N.C. FOX affiliate produced an extended segment on the program, launched in 2017, for its Buckley Report.

The second edition of "Mobility in Context: Principles of Patient Care Skills," authored by Charity Johansson and Susan Chinworth and published by F. A. Davis Company, instructs students in patient mobility skills that are based on current clinical evidence and practiced within the context of patient-centered care.

New reporting on innovative programs in mental health for student-athletes in Lakeside Hall from 6 to 9 p.m.

The following awards were presented at the Department of Physical Therapy Education commencement ceremony: Overall Outstanding Student – Alys Cook, Outstanding Research – Carleigh High, Outstanding Service - Tess Brackett, Outstanding Clinical Performance – Garrett Hoanin, Outstanding Clinical Instructor – Ben Fisher

The Jan. 2 article provided an overview that the innovative program is having on the education of students in the School of Health Sciences. 

Elon’s School of Health Sciences welcomed two new classes of graduate students to the university community this week.   

The award is presented to alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years and whose achievements positively reflect the values of Elon University and the physical therapy profession.
