Kimberly Epting and Kristen Riggs ’10 suggests that it may not be the overwhelming applause that gives athletes a “home field advantage,” so much as it is the taunts that can ding their opponent.

Psychology students present at regional conference

Psychology majors Sarah Borowski ‘11, Brittany Bowers ‘12, Elizabeth N. Palmer ‘11, and Traci Weisberg ‘11 presented their research at the 36th annual Carolinas Psychology Conference on April 9. The conference - one of the longest running undergraduate research conferences in the nation - took place in Raleigh and was hosted by Meredith College.

Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler and Larissa Ferretti (Class of 2009) presented research on children's early numeracy in two presentations at the Society for Research in Child Development in Montreal, Canada last week. One of the presentations was based on part of Larissa's honors thesis while she attended Elon. She is now a graduate student at Auburn University, pursuing a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies.
