Four faculty members and 19 retiring employees were honored May 9 for excellence and service to Elon.

As part of the first Gala Latina on May 4, the university recognized Latinx/Hispanic students, faculty and staff for their academic and civic involvement on campus. 

“Helping Hands United: A Benefit Concert for Caribbean Island Hurricane Relief” will be held Friday, Feb. 23 from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Danieley PARC.

Bring your friends out to our Hispanic Tailgate before the Elon take on the Towson Tigers. Free food, great music and more!

Come and hear Sary Martínez ’19 share pieces of her own story and enjoy live music by Lucía Jervis ’19 followed by coffee and refreshments.

Join us for a series of faculty, staff, students, alumni and guest speaker’s presentations on issues related to the Latinx/Hispanic community at Elon and beyond. Come to one, two, or all!

Come and learn more about the complexity of the Latinx/Hispanic identities. 

The panel of faculty experts will focus on DACA: what is it, what's happening now, and what may be the future for those involved. The event begins at 5:15 p.m. in LaRose Theater in Koury Business Center and will be followed by a discussion organized by Latinx/Hispanic students.
