The award from the National Institutes of Health will support research on the changing landscapes of stigma faced by people living with HIV in St. Petersburg, Russia, during the COVID-19 pandemic

Murfin received the honorarium for her participation in virtual meetings, contributions to improving the curriculum, submission of data for federal grant reporting/research, and cooperation in delivering the PRAC-ED-PA SUD curriculum to her students. 

The award will support efforts to help students encounter introductory interfaith ideas and tools as they engage within the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence.

The Racial Equity & Interfaith Cooperation Award is part of the IYC's We Are Each Other's Campaign.

The grant will support the associate professor of chemistry's project, "Collaborative Research: Building Community Capacity for Assessment of Student Learning in Undergraduate Biochemistry and Molecular Biology."

The $26,000 grant will be used to assess the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education at Elon, Towson University and the College of William and Mary.
