Released by Routledge Taylor & Francis, the new book guides students in becoming more proficient communicators by applying a multicultural lens across all aspects of strategic communications.

More than 1,600 first year students and over 70 transfer students arrived to Elon University on Aug. 23 excited for new experiences in their new home.

Seven Elon University faculty members were honored with endowed professorships during the Opening Day ceremony on Monday, Aug. 19. Each faculty member was recognized for their passion in their field, commitment to students and service to the university.

This year’s annual conference was held in Philadelphia and provided Elon faculty with an opportunity to showcase their areas of research, interest and expertise.

As part of Elon in Charlotte: The Sport Experience, the sport management and strategic communications double major will serve this fall as a marketing intern with NASCAR and a gameday operations intern with the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Accompanied by alumnus Jay Light ’12 and comedian Fahim Anwar, students in Assistant Professor Kai Swanson’s Elon Los Angeles course put their comedic chops to the test at The Nitecap, a popular venue for both up-and-coming and established comedians.

Students enrolled in Professor Julie Lellis’ Senior Seminar in Health Communications spent the spring semester developing campaign ideas to support the healthcare system’s initiatives in health equity and employee wellness.

During the spring semester, strategic communications majors created communications campaigns to raise awareness of the university’s new Imagining the Digital Future Center.
