Students interested in food and agriculture law, climate policy, energy regulation, and animal protection can apply Elon Law coursework toward a master’s degree from one of the nation’s top-ranked environmental law programs.

Two students from Florida International University won an annual contest hosted by the Moot Court Board that required this year’s teams to answer the question: does a ban on talking with minor patients about conversion therapy violate a doctor’s First Amendment rights to free speech?

Law students partnered this fall with attorneys from Legal Aid of North Carolina and their Elon Law faculty mentors to help residents of Guilford and Durham counties with applications to remove criminal charges from background records.

Nic Parsons L’24 credits faculty and staff mentors for their support during her first year of law school – reassurance that led her to an all-expense paid scholarship from the Pauli Murray LGBTQ+ Bar Association to visit Chicago for the 2023 Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair. 

John Ferebee L’24 prevailed in a competition for summer interns with the Supreme Court of North Carolina and the North Carolina Court of Appeals that featured a real case out of Kentucky involving questions of the Fourth Amendment.
