Fall 2010: Former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf speaks at Fall Convocation

During a visit to Elon Oct. 12-13, former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf shared his thoughts about the misconceptions that exist between the West and the Islamic world and the challenges facing his native Pakistan. He delivered the keynote address at Fall Convocation, participated in a question-and-answer session with the university community and spoke with political science students during his time on campus.

Fall 2010: Joshua Voss ’01 appears in NBC news segments

Joshua Voss '01 appeared in the July 22 episode of NBC's "Today" show and the Aug. 1 episode of "Dateline." Voss is an assistant research professor in the Robertson Coral Reef Program Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute and part of a team studying the spread of oil in the Gulf of Mexico following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Jen Roberts, a third-year physical therapy student at Elon, traveled to Haiti in July to work with Hands of Light in Action, a nonprofit relief organization that recruits physical therapy practitioners and students to help with recovery efforts in disaster-stricken areas.
