Findings were shared Oct. 11, 2013, with representatives from several Alamance County agencies who took part in a study to uncover the motivations, benefits, and challenges of asking college students to volunteer.

Elon University School of Law and the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University have established a four-year JD/MBA program. The JD/MBA program gives students the opportunity to earn both their juris doctor and master of business administration degrees in less time, and at a lower cost, than if both degrees were pursued separately. 

Elon University and the Times-News newspaper are co-sponsoring three events this year in which students, professors and residents of Alamance County will share diverse viewpoints on current events.

The visit is sponsored by the School of Communications in coordination with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.

The Princeton Review gives top marks to the MBA program of Elon's Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Steve “The Woz” Wozniak encouraged members of the Elon University community on Thursday to “build in an element of fun” into everything they do and that “sometimes you make your best decisions when you’re forced to.”

“Numen Lumen" will be performed Oct. 6, 2013, by Duke University's Ciompi Quartet, and Tim Olsen from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, as part of the Mary Duke Biddle Chamber Recital Series. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Doherty Center offers scholarships for students interested in entrepreneurship, sponsors a speaker series, and awards the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership to business leaders who epitomize the values of the university.
