Angie Lovelace '10 part of Peabody Award-winning CNN team

Angie Lovelace '10, an interactive producer at CNN, was part of a reporting team that won a Peabody Award for their coverage of the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Given annually by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia, the Peabody Awards are regarded among journalism's highest honors and have been given since 1941. In a statement, the Peabody committee said: "The science, the economics, the politics, the toll on human livelihoods and animal lives - CNN's coverage of the Deepwater Horizon disaster defined comprehensive."
