Scott Swedberg '11 accepted for prestigious study abroad experience with Sigma Phi Epsilon

Scott Swedberg '11, president of Elon's chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon, received one of 16 national scholarships to attend the fraternity's annual Tragos Quest to Greece this summer.

Sigma Phi Epsilon's Tragos Quest is a weeklong immersion in the history of Western Civilization and tours some of Greece's most famous landmarks. The fraternity offers scholarships to sophomore and junior members from its 256 collegiate chapters.

Swedberg, a business administration major from Danvers, Mass., carries a 3.91 GPA and has served in numerous roles for Elon's chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

"I owe this opportunity to my mentors that have pushed me to become the person I am today," Swedberg said. "I'm thrilled to embark on this experiential journey, to explore sites of Greek history and gain a better understanding of the foundation of Sigma Phi Epsilon."
