




The Elon Academy launched the College Peer Leader Program in 2011. The program matches second-year college scholars with first-year college scholars. These peer leaders provide support, encouragement, and motivation to the first-year college scholars during the academic year; they also serve as facilitators during the “First in the Family” Transition Retreat.
Sentrell Allen, Elon University '14 Sentrell graduated from Hugh M. Cummings High School. She attends Elon University and is a member of Alpha Phi Omega a co-ed service fraternity. She plans to major in Anthropology and minor in History. She enjoys working at Elon's hub of activity at the Campus Center. Sentrell loves to read, help others, volunteer, watch movies, and hang out with friends. |
Brittney Burnette, East Carolina University '14 Brittney graduated from Walter M. Williams High School. She is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at East Carolina University. Brittney's interests include shopping, music, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. |
Stacey Crutchfield, Elon University '14 Stacey Crutchfield graduated from Walter M. Williams High School and attends Elon University. Stacey is majoring in Political Science. At Elon, she is an Odyssey Scholar and active in greek life. She enjoys volunteering when ever she has free time and plans to major in elementary education. |
Jessica Eller, Elon University '14 Jessica graduated from Graham High School and is attending Elon University. She is a Watson Scholar and is also active in greek life. She enjoys photography and volunteering when she can. Jessica plans to either major in business or communications. |

Destinee Lewis graduated from Eastern Alamance High School. She currently attends the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is majoring in athletic training with aspirations to attend graduate school to become a physical therapist. Destinee is also a student assistant in the Office of Multicultural and Minority Affairs at UNCP. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as listening to music, singing, and catching up on the latest movies. |
Shelby Oldham, Salem College '14 Shelby Lynn Oldham graduated from Hugh M. Cummings High School as Valedictorian of her class. She currently attends Salem College and is majoring in Music Education. Shelby plans to attend graduate school. Shelby is the Secretary of Judicial Council, a Resident Assistant, and is involved in many organizations on campus. She loves spending time with her niece and nephews, the color pink, enjoys listening to reggae music, and taking interesting courses. |
