Alamance County Resources

The Elon Academy is proud to be an educational resource in Alamance County. For information on other resources in the county, including basic needs, the following are organizations that can assist with accessing local resources and support. If you are interested in volunteering in the community, here is a list of available locations compiled annually by the United Way of Alamance County

United Way 211: A resource that provides information and referral to health and human service agencies in North Carolina. Information is available on their website www.nc211.org and through a free, confidential, 24/7 resource line by dialing 211 or 888-892-1162.

Community Guide to Assistance: This resource, updated yearly by the United Way of Alamance County, provides quick access, by topic, to resources for basic needs and crisis/emergency services in Alamance County. Check out this webpage to find access to the latest Community Guide to Assistance.

Grocery and Meal Calendar for Alamance County: Provides a weekly overview of free, served meals and free grocery distribution to those with a financial hardship. Click here for this resource.

FaithAction International House: Provides computer classes and job readiness programs as well as immigrant assistance. Visit their webpage.

Cardinal Innovations Healthcare is the managed care organization handling all Medicaid, state and local funding for mental health, intellectual and developmental disability, and substance use disorder services in Alamance County  http://www.cardinalinnovations.org/.
