Application Guidelines
Selection Criteria
You can apply to the Elon Academy program if you:

Are a student in Alamance County
-
Are currently enrolled in the 9th grade

Have low income and/or no family history of college
-
Demonstrate you have academic promise
-
Do not have a pattern of disciplinary problems
-
Have the desire to succeed
-
Need additional financial resources and support to make college or university attendance a reality
Approximately 26 scholars will be selected each year to attend the Elon Academy.
Admission Process
- All ABSS ninth graders receive a letter about the Elon Academy
- October/November/December
- Information sessions held at each high school. For a complete list, click here
- Applications are due February 2013.
