Nominate a Student

The Elon Academy is an academic enrichment program at Elon University. It includes three 4-week residential experiences in the summers prior to the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. A variety of monthly activities for students and their families are offered during the school year. Students in the Elon Academy have the opportunity to:

• Experience college life
• Work with Elon University admissions staff to explore college opportunities
• Discover ways to become a school and community leader
• Use state-of-the-art technology
• Build lifelong friendships with students from other high schools and with Elon Academy faculty and staff
• And much, much more!

The Academy is limited to a total of 24-26 students who are current 9th graders in Alamance County. Preference is given to those applicants who:

• Demonstrate academic promise
• Demonstrate financial need and/or have no family history of college (documented qualification for free/reduced lunch is recommended, but not required)
• Have no pattern of disciplinary problems
• Have a desire to succeed and a willingness to commit to the three-year program
