Program Overview

Elon College Fellows is a four-year program for students who are passionate about the Arts and Sciences. In the context of a challenging and supportive community of learners, Fellows engage in special classes, events and opportunities that can significantly enrich, contextualize and focus the undergraduate experience.

The Elon College Fellows Program enhances breadth of study through team-taught classes that examine major disciplinary assumptions, the process of inquiry, and appreciation for collaboration and creative disciplinary intersections. The program also promotes greater depth of study in the student's chosen major through a two-year Fellows Project guided by a Faculty Mentor.

Elon College Fellows must major in one of 47 major fields of study within Elon College, including the independent major. Fellows follow one of three program branches -- Arts and Humanities Fellows, Mathematical and Natural Sciences Fellows, or Social Sciences Fellows -- depending upon their chosen academic major.
