Celebrate the National Day on Writing by designing a Writing Meme based on your writing experiences here at Elon!
Enter the student “Design a Writing Meme” contest and celebrate the upcoming National Day on Writing, on October 20th! All students are invited to participate. Memes can be about your writing experiences at Elon, for any kind of writing (for your classes, jobs, organizations, personal, etc.), and multiple entries are accepted. Entries will be accepted starting Wednesday, Oct. 15th until Monday, Oct. 20th and should be submitted to the Writing Excellence Initiative’s Facebook page.
The grand prize – valued at over $100 – is a “Writer’s Tool Kit,” which includes implements that celebrate writing in its variety of forms (a Lego journal, paints, a jump drive, and pen sets, along with creativity tools like Playdough and Bananagrams). Six honorable mention prizes will be awarded, which will include writing Moleskin journals and pen sets.
Submit your Writing Meme on the Writing Excellence Initiative’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/elonWEI). Memes will be judged by the Writing Center Consultants, with winners being announced by October 24th.
