SGA bike program with Zagster continues for Fall Term

The pilot program will continue for fall.  Students are encouraged to enroll now.

The Student Government Association’s pilot bike rental program with company Zagster will continue in the Fall term. The program, which many students currently use, includes 10 bikes and a bike station in front of the Danieley Commons as well as the Lakeside Plaza. Participants can use the bikes for up to three hours and return to either station. The pilot program is free for students who registered prior to June 1. After June 1, there is a nominal $50.00 registration per year.

SGA launched the year long pilot program at College Coffee on Feb. 21 after being approached by members of the student body with the idea of bringing a bike share program to Elon’s campus. An assessment of use and sustainability will determine if the pprogram will continue and be expanded after Fall term.

To  register and use the system, students should download the Zagster app or visit bike.zagster.com/Elon to make an account. For more information, please contact Student Body Secretary Rachel Hobbs (rhobbs5@elon.edu).
