Nine full-time faculty members join Love School of Business

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business welcomed new full-time faculty members in accounting, economics, finance and management.

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business welcomed nine full-time faculty members in August 2017, bringing the school’s total number of full-time faculty to 62.

“We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues to the LSB,” said Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Love School of Business. “Collectively they bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that will benefit our students.”

The new full-time faculty members are:

Mark Courtright, lecturer in management

B.S., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; MBA, Wake Forest University

Previously was an instructor at Elon.

Professional interests: Marketing consumer package goods, leadership education, financial services

Brooks Depro, assistant professor of economics

B.A., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; M.E. and Ph.D., N.C. State University

Previously worked at RTI International as the senior economist and director of resource economics.

Scholarly interests: Economic consulting, environmental and energy economics, applied microeconomics

Scott Hayward, assistant professor of management

B.S., University of Florida; MBA and Ph.D., Emory University

Previously taught strategic management courses at Appalachian State University.

Scholarly interests: Strategic management, sustainability, management of innovation and change, international business

Margarita Kaprielyan, instructor in finance

B.A., MBA, Florida Atlantic University

Previously taught finance courses at Florida Atlantic University and served as a reviewer for Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and FAU Undergraduate University Journal, as well as a peer mentor for the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry at Florida Atlantic University. Passed CFA Level I.

Scholarly interests: Mutual funds, corporate finance, corporate diversification, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, dividend policy

Ray Knight, professor of accounting

Previously taught tax courses to MSA students at Wake Forest University.

Mark Mallon, assistant professor of strategic management

Brittany Mercado, assistant professor of management

Kristin Roland, assistant professor of accounting
