Students honored for fall semester grades

Elon University has released its President's List and Dean's List academic recognitions for the 2013 fall semester.

Elon University has created a new system for generating hometown news releases beginning with Fall 2013 President’s List and Dean’s List honorees. These announcements can now easily be shared on social media as well as printed for distribution to local newspapers.

HOMETOWN NEWS RELEASES

The President’s List is composed of students with no grade below an A-minus in a minimum of 12 semester hours. The Dean’s List is composed of students with no grade below a B-minus and a grade point average of at least 3.50 in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

The Elon University News Bureau sends names of North Carolina honorees on both lists to newspapers in the state; for students who live outside of North Carolina, we encourage you to submit the announcement to your local newspaper. Some newspapers welcome photos to accompany the announcement. Check with your hometown paper for more information.

The new system merges information pulled from several university databases. If you find a factual error or misspelled name in your release, please contact Holley Berry (berryh@elon.edu) or Eric Townsend (etownsend4@elon.edu) in the Office of University Communications.

All questions about the criteria for the President’s List and Dean’s List and an individual student’s qualifications for the honors should be directed to the Office of the Registrar at (336) 278-6677 during normal business hours.
