Engineering Fellows

Fifty-nine engineering students participated in the Engineering Fellows program in 2024-25. Elon’s Engineering Fellows program challenges students to design, prototype and test potential solutions to the complex problems facing today’s world. Six fellows graduated in 2025, benefitting from hands-on experiences, design and research. Graduates from the Engineering Fellows program secured jobs at Raytheon, Pureflow Inc, Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson and Skanska.

Peace Corps Preparation Program

The Peace Corps Prep Program marked a decade of partnership with the Peace Corps. In recognition of this milestone, the Peace Corps gifted Elon a bell to commemorate the partnership that dates to 2013 when the program was established at Elon. Two students who earned the Peace Corps Prep certificate — Kira Campagna ‘26 and Ruby Radis ‘26— were the first to ring the bell.

The program equips students with critical competencies across four essential areas: sector-specific training, foreign language proficiency, intercultural competence, and professional leadership development. More than 60 students have completed the requirements of the program since its inception.

Data Scholars

The Data Scholars hosted two campus events in 2024-25, March Madness Data Competition and DataFest. The March Madness Data Competition encouraged the Elon community to highlight data skills in predicting the NCAA Men’s Basketball championship bracket. DataFest held a variety of events and programs, including a two-part music and data workshop, hack-a-thon and alumni networking event, AI and scholarship panel, and a keynote titled “AI’s Music Problem and Music’s AI Problem”. Many students participated in the Creative AI + Data Image Contest, challenging students to represent Elon University through AI-generated visuals, drawing inspiration from the alma mater.

Public Health Scholars

The Public Health Scholars boasted its largest class to date with 21 students participating in the program. Six Scholars graduated from the cohort, one is a public health major who is now attending the Master of Public Health program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Elon Vocal Scholars

Nineteen Elon Vocal Scholars participated in vocal ensembles to develop their singing talent. The Elon Vocal Scholars program, open to all majors, helps students build vocal technique and musicianship through instruction and performance, while enhancing the community through singing.

The cohort performed a holiday concert at the Friends Homes Retirement. Community in Greensboro, at Pennybyrn Retirement Center in High Point and at the Glencoe Holiday Candlelight Tour. Several students also sang the National Anthem at various Elon sporting events and others performed solos at campus events including Numen Lumen and Convocations.

Health Professions Scholars

Graduates of the Health Professions Scholars and Advising programs continued to be accepted to graduate and doctoral medical programs. Sixteen Elon graduates were accepted to allopathic or osteopathic programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Thomas Jefferson, Lerner College of Medicine, and Georgetown University, among others.

Fifteen Pre-Health Scholars graduated in 2025 from majors across the university and were accepted to physician assistant, physical therapy, and psychology graduate programs. Pre-med students were accepted to the MedServe Program in Asheville, North Carolina, and Teach for America for their gap/bridge year. The Health Professions Scholars program is a selective, merit-based program for students interested in pursuing health-related majors and careers.
