Elon’s School of Health Sciences serves graduate students in the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program and the physician assistant (PA) studies master’s program as well as undergraduate students in the Department of Nursing. The School of Health Sciences is housed in the Gerald L. Francis Center on Haggard Avenue, which features classrooms, simulation/exam rooms and observation rooms, and a variety of clinical laboratories.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Reinforce the solid academics you’ll learn in the classroom by spending 48 weeks in hands-on clinical practicums throughout the program. An innovative modular curriculum, partnerships with the surrounding medical community and a focus on service are key program features.
Physician Assistant Studies
Immerse yourself in a curriculum structured around active learning strategies through collaborative work with Elon’s faculty, scholars and practitioners in the field. Students emerge in a little more than two years as graduates prepared to employ the most current knowledge to care for patients.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is offered in two formats. The first is a traditional, four-year undergraduate program for high school graduates. The 4-year BSN program will satisfy all Elon University core requirements and is built to allow pursuit of a biology minor in addition to all nursing pre-requisites, the 65-credit hour nursing curriculum, and 540 clinical hours. The second is an accelerated BSN program for those who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in another field of study.
