Call for Programs

If you are interested in submitting a presentation proposal for the Black Solidarity Conference 2023, please fill out the presentation proposal form. Submissions for all educational and roundtable session proposals are due by Friday, February 17th, 2023.

We are looking for community members, faculty, staff, and informed students to serve as educational session presenters. If you are an undergraduate student from Elon or elsewhere, we ask that you have facilitated your educational session prior to being accepted because this is a professional conference that draws a wide variety of attendees, we want to ensure we are providing the best, high-quality sessions. We offer 55-minute educational sessions and 30-minute roundtable sessions.

Educational Session Proposal Content

  • Educational Session Description/Abstract: 100 words or less
  • Participant Level: Novice, Emerging, or Established
  • Learning Objectives: Allyship/Anti-Racism, Wellness in Black communities, Blackness in a global context, Intersectionality in Black communities, Socio-political activism
  • Available Presentation Times: 55-minute educational session or 30-minute roundtable discussion
  • Would you be interested in presenting your session more than once? Yes or No

Presenter Information

  • The Black Solidarity Conference Call for Proposals closes on Friday, February 17th, 2023.
  • Accepted presenters will be notified no later than Monday, February 20th, 2023.
  • If you plan to attend Black Solidarity Conference and present, please confirm and register no later than Tuesday, February 21st , 2023.
  • All educational sessions are 55 minutes in length.
  • All roundtable sessions are 30 minutes in length.
