American Repertory Ballet to perform Where the Wild Things Are

ELON COLLEGE – The American Repertory Ballet will perform a ballet adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 in McCrary Theatre in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.

Tickets are $12 or free with Elon identification. For more information and tickets call the Elon College Box Office at (336) 584-2199, Monday through Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where the Wild Things Are features stunning sets and costumes and five 10-foot-tall “Wild Things” inhabited by dancers. The performance will include a 45-minute journey into a world that exists only in the mind of the main character, Max, and two additional short pieces.

The New Jersey-based American Repertory Ballet, under the artistic direction of Septime Webre, is quickly gaining a reputation throughout the U.S. for its youthful, athletic style.
