Elon College to host career exploration series

ELON COLLEGE – The Elon College Career Center is creating a career exploration series to help students gain better insight into possible careers.

The series consists of panel discussions focusing on several career fields. The discussions will provide information on majors, internships and employment opportunities.

“The goal is to give students a better idea of what different career fields entail,” says Miriam Jacobson, the center’s associate director. Most of the panel presenters include Elon alumni, whom Jacobson says are interested in helping out students. “We hope students come out and tap into people for internships or employment,” she says.

The series’ first presentations will take place at 5 p.m. Nov. 8-11 in Room 115 in the McMichael Science Center. The daily discussions will focus on the fields of science, communications, social services and leisure and sport medicine/management.
