Nine physics majors will represent Elon at the Zone 5 Society of Physics Students Meeting to be held at Davidson College on October 29 and 30. Featured speakers at this event include Dr. Gary White, national director of the Society of Physics Students, and Dr. Robert Panoff, a former Voices of Discovery speaker at Elon. Students from institutions throughout the Carolinas will also present posters on their undergraduate research projects.
At a joint meeting of the North Carolina Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers, assistant professor of physics Anthony Crider will also give a talk on his pedagogical research, “Astronomy in the Hot Seat.”
