Volunteer to work LSM Society tent at the US Open

The LSM Society has secured a concession tent at the upcoming US Open Golf Tournament-June 13-19 in Pinehurst, N.C. The last time the US Open was held there in 1999, Payne Stewart won after sinking a thrilling putt on the 18th hole to defeat Phil Mickleson.

The Leisure and Sport Management Society is responsible for staffing and operating a large concession tent on the 1st tee.  Individuals that volunteer will work their shift (morning and afternoon options), and then be free to observe the tournament for the remainder of the day.  We are responsible for covering our tent for 7 days – including the practice rounds and pro-am activities – along with the typical Thursday thru Sunday tournament days.  Those willing to help out will be extended a shirt, a parking pass, a meal coupon, and access to the tournament – only on the same day worked.

If you have any questions, or would like a registration form-contact Dr. Hal Walker in the LSM Department (hwalker2@elon.edu).

Volunteer times are rapidly filling up – get your registration form completed ASAP!
