New Student Policy For Football Tickets

ELON, N.C. — The athletic department will institute a new ticket policy for students during the 2005 football season. In previous years, an Elon student would come to the Koury Center Ticket Office during the week of a home football game. The student would present a Phoenix Card and the ticket office staff would validate the card and give the student a ticket for that week’s game. If students did not come to the Koury Center during the week, they would have to get their tickets at the windows at Rhodes Stadium on gameday.

This year, the ticket office is making an attempt to eliminate the “hard” ticket for students. Elon students will present their Phoenix Card at the designated student gate at Rhodes Stadium on gameday. Ticket office personnel will swipe each Phoenix Card and make sure it is valid. If so, the student can enter the stadium without an actual ticket. Once inside the stadium, Elon students must choose to sit in the student section (Sections 104, 105, & 106) or in the grass seating in either endzone. Only current Elon students with valid Phoenix Cards will be allowed to enter Rhodes Stadium. There is a no re-entry policy at football games. Once an individual enters the stadium and then exits, they can not re-enter the stadium.

Students who wish to avoid waiting in line at the stadium on gameday can still come by the Koury Center during office hours and pick up their game ticket.

If students wish to purchase tickets in the student section for family members and guests, they must come to the Koury Center Ticket Office during the week of a home football game.

Please note that the policy for Elon faculty and staff has remained the same. Faculty and staff must come to the Koury Center Ticket Office and pick up their tickets Monday thru Friday. Faculty and staff are eligible to receive tickets for a spouse and the number of dependents living in their home.

Ticket office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday. Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff at Rhodes Stadium.
