A bench overlooking the club sports playing fields on South Campus was dedicated Tuesday, Oct. 25 in memory of Richard Puchyr, director of web content and design, who died April 9.
Chaplain Richard McBride offered opening remarks to the assembled group of friends, family and coworkers. Puchyr’s wife, Anne, and the couple’s son, Ben, attended the dedication, as well as Anne Puchyr’s mother, Marty Oliver.
Members of the University Relations staff presented the family with a book of their recollections and memories about Richard.
Memorial benches are dedicated in honor of Elon employees who die during their terms of service to the university.
