This year’s class has an average cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.50, from an impressive list of colleges and universities, including Duke University, Furman University, The College of William & Mary and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Five students of the class attended Elon. Students also have an average Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) score of 1090 (Verbal and Quantitative sections combined), nearly 100 points higher than the United States average GRE score of 993 (whose intended program of study is physical therapy) and a record high for an incoming class of physical therapy students.
Students come from 12 states including one student from California and Iowa. Popular undergraduate majors include Biology, Exercise & Health Science and Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.
Dr. Elizabeth Rogers, Associate Dean and Chairperson of the Department of Physical Therapy Education, comments, “the Department is excited to welcome this talented DPT class to Elon! The 43-member Class of 2008 comes from diverse educational and life-experience backgrounds including members of the class who have held high positions in their respective industries.”
