Tony Sawyer, director of bands, will serve as an adjudicator March 21-22 at the N.C. South Central Bandmasters Association District Band Festival at North Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, N.C. Sawyer will be one of 4 adjudicators who will listen to and grade 35 high school bands from the South Central district. Another team of adjudicators will grade 23 more bands later in the week.
District band festivals are held across the state, giving band programs and their teachers feedback on their work in relation to state standards of performance practice.
