Leupold and research team’s paper wins award, is accepted for publication

The research team headed by Chris Leupold, assistant professor of psychology, has received the Best Paper Award presented at last month’s Academic Business World Conference in Nashville, Tenn.

In addition to being published in the conference proceedings, their winning paper, “Competitive Advantage in University Admissions: An Application of Strategic Job Modeling To Tour Guides,” has also been accepted for publication in The Journal of Academic Administration in Higher Education.

The paper is the product of a collaborative effort that also involved Susan Klopman, vice president of admissions and financial planning; Heather Stuart, senior associate director of admissions; Kristin Smith, a rising senior psychology and business administration major; and Emily McCarthy, a 2005 Elon alumna and current graduate student at Fairfield University.
