Larry Vellani, director of corporate and foundation relations, penned two articles on Alamance County communities for the latest issue of the Burlington Times-News annual supplement “Living Here,” published in the Sunday, Aug. 27 edition.
Vellani analyzed the social and economic development of two Alamance County communities, Hawfields (pages 28–30) and Mebane (pages 61 and 112–113).
Vellani has served as an adjunct professor in political science and public administration since January 1996. In January 2003, he joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as director of corporate and foundation relations to strengthen Elon’s commitment from foundations and other philanthropic institutions, and to work with senior administrators and faculty to develop major university initiatives and to achieve institutional priorities.
