David Noer, the Frank S. Holt Jr. Professor of Business Leadership, published a column in the Nov. 5 edition of the Greensboro News & Record titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: A Tale of Three Searches.”
The column outlined three unintended consequences of the “search paradigm,” and discussed three current searches for key community leaders: chancellor at N.C. A&T State University, Greensboro police chief and Guilford County manager. Noer categorized these searches into the good, the bad, and the ugly.
