Elon was well-represented at the International Conference on Sport and Entertainment Business, held Nov. 9 in Columbia, SC.
Hal Walker, associate professor of leisure and sport management, presented at the conference, along with 2004 leisure and sport management graduate Lauren Hoffmann, senior Carson Foushee and communications major and LSM minor Erryn Gallasch. Their topic was “Special Event Planning: Experiential Learning and So Much More.” Hoffman is coordinator for promotions and event presentation with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.
Foushee and Gallasch were the only undergraduate students to present during the four-day conference.
Elon students Jayson Teagle, Andrew Hurwitz, Kevin Loudy and Brock Twigg also attended the conference.
