Hal Walker, associate professor of leisure and sport management, presented at the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association meeting in New Bern on Nov. 12.
Walker presented with senior Johanna Snowberger and junior Bonnie Brackett, both leisure and sport management majors, and Marc Riker, executive director of the Alabama Sports Festival. Their presentation was titled “Special Event Planning.”
Snowberger and Brackett discussed their experience with special events planning from a student perspective, Walker focused on instructional aspects, and Riker looked at event planning from an industry perspective.
