The Oaks opens final two residence buildings

The final two residence buildings in The Oaks complex on campus are now open. Approximately 115 students moved into the buildings last weekend in time for the start of spring semester. Details...

More than 400 students live in The Oaks’ six apartment-style buildings, which replaced the Jordan Center. Buildings A-D opened for students during fall semester; a commons building is in the final stages of construction and is scheduled to open soon.

The
apartment configurations include units with two single bedrooms,
two baths, a living room and kitchen; and units with four single
bedrooms, two baths, a living room and kitchen. All units are
furnished, with washers and dryers and full access to the campus
computer network.

The commons building will include a living room,
meeting rooms, a community kitchen and offices. The site also
includes more than 500 parking spaces, an outdoor sand volleyball court and a
picnic area.

All utilities (electricity, phone, internet, gas, and cable) are included as part of the total cost.
