On March 9 at 7:00 pm, come to Yeager Recital Hall in the Center for the Arts and experience Marion Aitcheson’s documentary “On Our Own.”
In her own words:
“I have spent the last two years working on a documentary film called “On Our Own” in partnership with Project Pericles, Elon Television and Elon Docs.
“On Our Own” is a film about the children’s home in Eisenach, Germany in which I grew up. With the help of Project Pericles and Elon Television, I was able to return to Eisenach in the summer of 2005 to visit the children’s home, spend a month giving back some of my time to the children who are currently living there. I documented my visit with the children and made connections between their lives today and my own past.
Ever since, I have been creating this documentary with the purpose of sharing my personal experience and comparing and contrasting the program as it was during my time and how it is today.
I would like to invite all of you to come and share with me in the unveiling of my project on March 9th at Yeager Recital Hall. “
