Phoenix14News anchor Meghan Packer was named the nation’s #1 college newscaster by the Broadcast Education Association.
Packer is a senior communications major who has reported and anchored for Phoenix14News since her freshman year. Before anchoring the live, weekly show, Packer reported regularly on everything from general news to in-depth investigations.
This recognition has attracted attention from several news markets on the East Coast and the Midwest.
Phoenix14News is Elon University’s live student-run newscast. The show received recognition from BEA in Las Vegas, placing 3rd in the nation in the TV Newscast category.
