Former FBI agent, an Elon alum, to speak on ethics Wednesday, Thursday

Oliver Halle, a 1967 Elon alumnus who made a career in the FBI, will give two presentations on ethics this week as the university prepares for its second annual Call to Honor, a ceremony that encourages students to pledge themselves to a code of respect, responsibility, honesty and integrity. Oliver Halle investigated organized crime and worked with many white-collar criminals during his 28 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has appeared on “60 Minutes” with Ed Bradley and has published a book based on a fraud prevention program called “Taking the Harder Right.”

Halle’s presentation is titled “Good People (Who Look Just Like You and Me) Getting into Serious Trouble – How it Can Happen and Destroy Your Life.”

The two scheduled presentations are as follows:

Wednesday, Sept. 5, 4:30 p.m. in Koury Business Center 101 (This is primarily for MBA students and seniors, though others may attend if they cannot come later.)

Thursday, Sept. 6, 4:30 p.m. in Koury Busines Center 101. (This is open to the entire campus community.)
