Elon students from the art department are organizing a juried exhibition on campus in the West Arts Gallery, called Artists Leading Elon. The exhibition is open to all Elon students, and by submitting you artwork, you’ll have a chance to win prizes. There is a $5 cash admission fee which allows up to three “ready to show” pieces for submission. Submissions should be dropped off at the art department on Oct. 17 from 4pm-6pm, Oct. 18, 4pm-6pm, Oct.19, 12pm-4pm, or Oct. 22, 9am-11am & 4pm-7pm. Declined works will be returned before the exhibition opens. The opening reception for the exhibition will be on Monday, Nov. 5 at 5-6:30pm. Submission forms will be available in the art department.
So now would be a great time to create new work for the exhibition or try to get a hold of older work–the exhibition doesn’t have a theme so there will be a variety of subject matter and media in the accepted works.
