Elon University Marching Band members are interested in starting a new chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, the National Honorary Band Fraternity and Sorority on Elon’s campus. Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma are organizations that promote the advancement of college and university
bands through dedicated service and support to bands; comprehensive
education; leadership opportunities; and recognition; for the benefit
of its members and society.
Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma first organized in 1919 and many university band programs nationwide have chapters of these honorary organizations on their campuses. The Elon University Band is looking into student interest on campus for such organizations within our band program. If you are currently in the Elon band, or have interest in such an organization, please drop by the Center for the Arts and sign the interest sheets posted outside of Mr. Sawyer’s office (room 158).
