Banned Books Reading, Thursday Oct. 25

Ahoy, English Majors…and everyone else!

Do you like books?  Do you like learning things?
Anything at all, curiosity is what I am getting at here.

Do you like to be a little bit of a Rebel, rule-breaker?
Sure you do, it is understandable–I like to make a stand too, every now and again (I promise I won’t tell anybody that you were the “bully” at your middle school.)

If you said “yes” to any or all of these (or you are one of those types who doesn’t respond out loud to internet  Ads), then you’ll definitely  get a kick out of Banned Books!

You’ve heard of them?  Oh, good.  That makes things easier.  And since you like Banned Books, and enjoy lunch money you have just “borrowed”, and learning and English and things like that, then why not join the English Department, every cool kid you’ve ever known and some great Authors, this Thursday, October 25th, at 7:30, at Alamance 3rd floor, 305 A (the big, comfy room with couches, food and other people reading things).

Please join us: eat some food,  bring a favorite banned book, sign-up and share it with us!

Don’t know what books have been banned?  Not sure what the list could possibly have?  At least interested?  Try Wikipedia’s total “List of Banned Books”.  (I know you use that site for papers.  It’s okay, I do it too.  I mean, what don’t they know?!)
