Panel discussion on diversity in media set for Feb. 20

The public is invited to attend a panel discussion on diversity in the media when five journalists and public relations professionals from the region visit campus on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 3:30 p.m.

The event takes place in McKinnon Hall inside the Moseley Center. Panelists include the following:

Alan Mason — VP/GM of News 14 Carolina (a Time Warner company)
Allen Johnson — Editor, editorial page, (Greensboro, N.C.) News & Record
Elvin Jenkins — Manager, WSSU, PBS station in Winston-Salem
Keren Rivas — Reporter, (Burlington, N.C.) Times-News
Pilar Viatela — Assistant account executive, Trone advertising/PR

Communications professor Lee Bush will moderate the discussion.
