Sigma Phi Epsilon Earns Awards at Carlson Leadership Academy

From Feb.15-17, the Sigma Phi Epsilon executive board traveled to Raleigh, NC
to attend the annual Carlson Leadership Academy. The weekend brought together
more than 200 brothers from all over the East Coast where they were able to
learn from other chapters and learn new methods for success. Sigma Phi Epsilon
– NC Mu, the Elon University chapter, garnered numerous prestigious awards at
the conference including:

 

1)   
– ”Phi Beta Kappa
Wheelhouse Award” – for having a 3.15+ cumulative GPA
à “for fostering academic achievement”

2)   
– “Donald C.
McCleary Award Excellence in Membership Development”

3)   
– “Manpower
Excellence Award” – for having the largest chapter on campus.

4)   
– “Scholarship
Excellence”

 

Along with
SigEp winning awards, Matthew Lewis, a senior at Elon and former
SigEp President, received the Frank J. Ruck Interfraternity Leadership
Award.  This is awarded to
individuals who show outstanding campus leadership and make significant
positive changes on the campus as a whole.  Out of every chapter from Maryland, Virginia, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky, Matt was the only individual
to receive this award.
